Peaceful environment in the DPRK is essential for building a thriving nation, he stressed.

Today the homeland is striving for friendship and solidarity with the world progressive people holding high the banner of independence, friendship and peace, he said, stressing that a shortcut to national prosperity and reunification lies in implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
