Important Days of DPRK Marked in Different Countries
Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of Songun revolutionary leadership and the 68th anniversary of the liberation of Korea.

They included a seminar, lecture, book and photo exhibition and film shows in DR Congo, India and Guinea from Aug. 12 to 14.

On display in the venues were photos documenting immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Displayed there were books and photos introducing successes made by the Korean people in building a thriving socialist nation.

Participants in film shows watched Korean films including "Invincible Korean People's Army".

The chairman of the People's Revolutionary Party of the Democratic Republic of Congo said that the DPRK serves as an example to be followed by the people of DR Congo, and the DPRK is a symbol of justice and a genuine independent and sovereign state.

S. P. Pathak, chairman of the Indian Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il, said that the DPRK turned into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, under the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung.

He noted that the national power of the DPRK has reached the highest level under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

Sadhna Harish, chairwoman of the Indian Study Group of Songun Politics, praised Kim Il Sung for accomplishing the historic cause of national liberation with his Songun leadership.
