Present there were scientists, technicians, teachers, researchers, Three-revolution Team members and skilled workers in the field of footwear industry.

The presentation heard papers dealing with achievements made in producing quality shoes of various patterns to meet the increasing demand of the people for better shoes and their aesthetic taste.

Introduced there were successes and experience gained by the Ryuwon Shoes Factory, Kangso Shoes Factory, Sunchon Shoes Factory and Wonsan Shoes Factory which, based on modernization of production processes by their own efforts and technology, developed new patterns of sports shoes and produced stylish and light shoes on the principle of ensuring profitability.

The participants swapped experience gained in solving issues for raising the quality of shoes by scientific and technological methods and in producing shoes with patterns peculiar to their own factories, shoes which would win admiration even in international market.

In the meantime, there took place at the Wonsan Rolling-Stock Complex a meeting to hear the results of the national prize contest for settling scientific and technological problems.
