Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership and Songun politics reflected the iron faith, matchless grit and pluck and ardent patriotism of the peerlessly Songun brilliant commander and peerless patriot and they serve as an all-powerful treasured sword for triumphantly ushering in a new era of the Juche revolution, he said.

Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership brought about an epochal turn in the destiny of the country and the people, and its attraction and vitality were fully demonstrated in the revolution and construction, he pointed out.

The Songun revolutionary cause of Juche is now greeting a new historic turning point as it is led by Marshal Kim Jong Un, the reporter said, underlining the need to remain single-mindedly loyal to his Songun revolutionary leadership.

The reporter called for training all service personnel to be ones strong in idea and faith remaining intensely loyal to the party and the leader and stalwart fighters equipped with Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's strategy and tactics and full capacity to fight a real war. He also called for helping the KPA take on perfect appearance as a regular revolutionary army.

All the service personnel and people should intensify the drive for displaying the "speed on Masik Pass" and making uninterrupted great leap forward and innovations on all fronts for socialist construction, the reporter said, and went on:

Peace is dearer to us than anything else as our general goal is to build an economic power and improve the standard of people's living.

The Korean people do not want a war but hope for averting a fratricidal war and reunifying the country independently and peacefully at any cost.

We will make every possible effort to prevent a new war on the Korean Peninsula and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country by concerted efforts of the nation, holding high the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, the great programmes for reunification common to the nation in the new century and the landmarks for peace and prosperity.

We will boost the friendly and cooperative relations with different countries which respect the DPRK's sovereignty and are friendly toward it in the idea of independence, peace and friendship and positively contribute to defending peace and stability in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world and achieving global independence.
