The general secretary of the New Yugoslav Communist Party of Serbia was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the celebration period from Sep. 1 to 15 and decided to organize during this days colorful political and cultural events including a meeting, seminar and lecture to highly praise the revolutionary careers and immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il in founding and developing the DPRK into a socialist power and widely introduce them.
