For over half a century since Aug. 25, 1960 when General Secretary Kim Jong Il started his Songun revolutionary leadership by giving field guidance to Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army, he successfully led the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence, holding aloft the banner of Songun.

In the 1990s the Korean people protected the dignity of the country and the nation, adhering to the socialist principle despite the moves of the imperialist allied forces to stifle the DPRK, and brought about a turning phase in the building of a thriving nation. This was entirely thanks to the unique Songun politics of Kim Jong Il.

The Korean people are merciless and brave in the struggle against imperialism and the most independent people. They are also peace-loving people who have made contributions to ensuring peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in the region and the rest of the world.

The Korean people will dynamically advance along the road of victory, glory and prosperity, smashing the anti-DPRK moves of the U.S. imperialists and their stooges as Marshal Kim Jong Un is successfully carrying forward the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il.
