The Iranian paper Iran News on Aug. 19 carried an article titled "Astonishing reality brought about by Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership" illustrated with his photos.

Saying that August 25 is a day of special significance for the Korean people, the article went on:

This day 53 years ago Kim Jong Il started his Songun revolutionary leadership by giving field guidance to Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army. Since then he ceaselessly made journeys for Songun leadership for several decades.

Under his Songun leadership the military capability of the DPRK was bolstered up in every way, the imperialists' attempts to invade it were completely shattered and the DPRK built a springboard from which to build a thriving socialist nation despite the worst ordeals and adversities.

The paper explained the great vitality of Songun politics of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

It also carried photos showing the invincible might of the Korean People's Army.

The Nepali paper Jana Sata on Aug. 17 carried articles introducing Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary exploits under the caption "August 25 and Songun" illustrated with his photos.

The Bangladeshi paper Natun Bangla on Aug. 18 carried an article titled "Songun Korea".
