Kim Jong Il began his Songun leadership with an inspection tour of the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army (KPA) on August 25, Juche 49 (1960).

The cause of the Songun revolution pioneered by President Kim Il Sung and advanced by leader Kim Jong Il is now being creditably carried forward by Marshal Kim Jong Un.

It is Kim Jong Un's firm belief that the eternal strategy of the Korean revolution and its final victory lie in advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism indicated by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Early in January 2012, Kim Jong Un visited the 105th Tank Division, showing his steadfast will to reliably defend the dignity and sovereignty of the country by dint of Songun policy.

He inspected even the military posts in Panmunjom and on Kkachil Peak in Mt. Osong, from which enemy positions are within earshot.

Through his ceaseless inspection of military posts in frontline areas and guidance over military exercises of various kinds, he has prepared the KPA men and officers to be stalwart combatants.

Touring the islet defence detachments, located in the biggest hotspots in the southernmost part of the southwestern front, he showed his fixed will to win the final victory in the showdown with the U.S.-led imperialist forces on the strength of Songun.

Thanks to his energetic guidance, a nationwide and all-people defence system has been established more strictly and the whole country has turned into an impregnable fortress.

He also leads all the servicepersons and civilians to make a breakthrough in building an economic giant and improving the people's livelihood by displaying the spirit of "At a go" and creating "Masikryong Speed".

The army and people of the DPRK will invariably advance along the road of Songun under the guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
