High-pitched Drive for Increased Production in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- The workers in the four vanguard sectors of the national economy are putting spurs to the drive for increased production, proud of significantly having celebrated the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. The officials of the Cabinet and the ministries are scrupulously organizing the economic operations to bring about a signal boost in the four vanguard sectors. Successes were reported from all the units in the fields of coal, power and metal industries and railways transport. The Tokchon and Kangdong district coal mining complexes are carrying out their daily quotas at 130 percent. Coal mines in the Anju and Sunchon areas are successfully honoring their daily plans by giving precedence to the supply of equipment and parts and actively introducing new technological innovation proposals through the increased role of technicians and skilled workers. Coal miners in the Pukchang and Kaechon areas are creditably fulfilling their commitments to supplying coal to thermal power plants and chemical factories. The electricity production is on the steady increase at the Suphung, Hochongang, Pujongang, Jangjingang, Kanggye youth, Wiwon and other hydraulic power stations. The officials and workers of the Orangchon, Samsu, Namgang and Taedonggang power stations are keeping equipment in full capacity by improving management of equipment and technological control. The officials, workers and technicians of the Chollima Steel Complex are registering successes in the efforts to boost the production of rolled steel. The daily production of iron and steel at the Chongjin Structural Steel Works has increased over 150 percent by the devotion of the officials and workers of the works. The officials and miners of the Jaeryong and Unryul mines are honoring their plans, aware that they are also responsible for the production of steel. Signal successes in freight transport are reported from the Pyongyang, Kaechon, Chongjin and Hamhung railway bureaus. |
