It brought together at least 50 members of the Angling Fans Association selected in the Pyongyang and all provincial contests.

They chose angling tackles and baits, taking into account water temperature and specific characters of fish, before dropping fishing lines.

They demonstrated well the angling skills they have acquired in their spare hours.

Standings were decided according to the number of fish they caught and a total length of them.

Hong Je Hwan of Pyongyang was awarded first prize, Ri Nam Sik and Un Yong Nam of Nampho City second prize and Ri Kwang Ho and Kim Son Jong of Pyongyang and Kim Su Bong of South Hwanghae Province third prize.

There took place an angling tackles invention exhibition on the same day.

Kangwon Province, Nampho City and North Hwanghae Province were highly appreciated for presenting new angling tackles of good idea and quality baits.
