Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju, Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop, Kang Sok Ju, Kim Phyong Hae, Ro Tu Chol and officials at national and local levels visited industrial establishments, farms and universities to congratulate the young people on the day.

The industrial establishments and universities included the Chollima Steel Complex, Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex, Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Textile Mill, Pyongyang University of Railways, Pyongyang Electric Cable Factory 326, Taean Heavy Machine Complex and the Sangwon Cement Complex.

The officials together with young people placed floral baskets and bouquets before statues of peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu, portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, mosaics depicting them and monuments to their revolutionary activities and paid respects.

They went round rooms dedicated to the education in revolutionary history, rooms dedicated to the history of those industrial establishments, farms and universities, worksites and classrooms, and gave a pep talk to exemplary young people who achieved success in their work for production, construction and studying in hearty response to the New Year Address and the appeal of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They requested those young people to fulfill their mission and duty as honorable builders and main pillars of a thriving nation as befits the young vanguard grown up under the loving care of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Those young people had a good time, singing, dancing, playing sports and amusements games and holding colorful cultural events.
