The bulletin in its article titled "Immortal Songun exploits" said that Aug. 25, 1960 marked Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership. It went on:

Kim Jong Il ushered in the new era of prosperity unprecedented in the Korean history spanning 5 000 years with his Songun revolutionary leadership.

He put the country's military power on the highest stage and turned the DPRK into a political and ideological power and ushered in the new golden days of building a thriving nation.

His Songun revolutionary leadership is being steadily carried forward by Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The bulletin in another article titled "August 25 of Songun" noted that Kim Jong Il formulated Songun politics as a political mode under socialism.

It stressed that the DPRK has dynamically advanced along the road of prosperity, standing firm against the U.S., adding that such miraculous reality is the brilliant fruition of Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership.
