Ibrahim Mantu, chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association who is member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to widely introduce the exploits of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu and organize colorful political and cultural events on the occasion of the anniversary.
