Designers of the Hamhung Chemistry Designing Institute designed the methanol compounding tower in Korean style, saving a lot of materials and electricity. Scientists of the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences successfully solved scientific and technical problems arising in the construction of the process.

It is another foundation for keeping the vinalon production going at a high rate and bringing about a turn in developing light industry and improving people's living standard.

A ceremony of its completion took place at the complex Thursday.

Present there were Pak Pong Ju, Kwak Pom Gi and officials of the relevant fields and units, officials and employees of the complex and builders and helpers.

A letter of thanks of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee to the builders of the methanol production process and their helpers was read out at the ceremony.

The letter highly praised all the builders and helpers for successfully building another monumental structure in the era of Songun by displaying patriotic devotion, true to the behests of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

At the end of the ceremony the participants went round the methanol production process.
