Aug. 25 this year is the 53rd anniversary when Kim Jong Il started the Songun revolutionary leadership by visiting Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army.

Leader Kim Jong Il developed and enriched the Juche idea, Songun idea of President Kim Il Sung and formulated the Songun politics as the political mode peculiar to the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean revolution in defending socialism.

With the Songun idea and Songun politics he frustrated the anti-socialist moves of the U.S.-led imperialist reactionaries and wisely led the Korean people in their struggle for building a thriving nation and defending sovereignty.

His exploits performed in defending socialism and advancing the cause of global independence will be immortal.
