Agricultural Workers in Sukchon County Call for Nationwide Harvesting and Thrashing Competition

Sukchon, September 2 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers in Sukchon County, South Phyongan Province on Monday held a meeting at the Yoltusamchon Farm to vow to finish in time the harvesting and thrashing and appealed to the organizations of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and all the agricultural workers across the country to launch a socialist emulation drive.

The reporter and speakers called on all the agricultural workers to learn from the fighting spirit and traits displayed by soldier-builders in creating the "speed on Masik Pass" and contribute to increasing the grain production for this significant year through the dynamic harvesting and threshing campaigns.

They stressed the need for the Union organizations and officials to enhance their responsibilities and roles and finish the repairing and servicing of such transportation means as tractors, trucks and threshing machines and farm implements.

They called for making the wind of socialist competition sweep across all the fields through the increased production drive for winning the December 12 prize for conquering space as intended by the Workers' Party of Korea.
