Televising scenes documenting the revolutionary activities of supreme leader Kim Jong Un, the TVONE broadcasting service of Indonesia noted:

August 25 is the day when Kim Jong Il, the eternal chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, started his Songun revolutionary leadership.

He inspected Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army (KPA) on this day in 1960.

The Korean people significantly celebrate this day every year.

Thanks to his Songun politics, the Korean people could defend the dignity of the country and nation despite the West's sanctions and pressure on the DPRK.

On the occasion of the anniversary, Marshal Kim Jong Un gave a talk "Let Us Add Eternal Brilliance to Comrade Kim Jong Il's Great Idea and Achievements of the Songun Revolution" to Rodong Sinmun, organ of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Joson Inmingun, organ of the KPA.

He, in the talk, called for thoroughly implementing the line on attaching importance to the arms and military affairs to bolster up the defence capabilities of the country in every way, opening up a new phase for the country's reunification and making strenuous efforts to check aggression and war and protect global peace and security.

The Guinean domestic, international and 7 national languages broadcasting services introduced in detail the exploits of Kim Jong Il under the title "Undying Songun exploits of leader Kim Jong Il".

His Songun leadership is being successfully carried forward by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un, they stressed.

The Myanmar paper The New Age carried an article lauding the exploits of Kim Jong Il illustrated with a photo of Kim Jong Un.
