Displayed in the venue of the exhibition were more than 1 800 musical instruments of over 90 kinds produced and manufactured by musical instruments production units, factories and enterprises under commissions, ministries and national institutions, individual musical instruments makers, components and parts of instruments and jigs, tools and materials for manufacturing instruments.

Appreciated by visitors were national musical instruments of unique style and tone quality, etc. meeting aesthetic taste of Koreans and the requirements of the era, pianos, accordions and bayans of good quality, various kinds of stringed instruments, wind instruments and percussion instruments.

Drawing their attention were domestic and foreign technical information related to the production of musical instruments, instruments displayed by overseas compatriots and foreigners and ancient national instruments.

There were experience-sharing meeting, seminar and concert and other events during the exhibition.

The exhibition provided a good occasion of preserving and glorifying the leadership feats performed by Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the field of manufacturing musical instruments and widely introducing achievements and experience gained in the study and production of the country's musical instruments in recent years.

A closing ceremony was held at the Pyongyang International House of Culture Tuesday.
