Ugandan Preparatory Committee to Mark DPRK Anniversary Formed
Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- An Ugandan preparatory committee was inaugurated with due ceremony in Kampala on August 29 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the DPRK.

Henry Masiko, director of the Presidency, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize celebration meeting, photo exhibition and other various events on the occasion of September 9.

At the ceremony Kirunda Kivejinja, senior advisor to the president, said:

After the liberation of Korea President Kim Il Sung set forth the line on building party, state and army and made tireless efforts to build a democratic and independent sovereign state and thus founded the DPRK on September 9, 1948.

After its foundation the DPRK defeated the invasion of the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces to defend its sovereignty and successfully built socialism centered on the people.

At present the DPRK is making shining achievements in building a thriving nation, life-long desire of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, under the wise guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
