Haeju Folk Park was newly built in South Hwanghae Province.

Haean Pleasure Ground sprang up in a picturesque place of Wonsan, Kangwon Province, and the Pleasure Ground of Youth Park in a scenic spot of Kanggye, Jagang Province. Amusement facilities were built in Hamhung Youth Park in South Hamgyong Province.

Similar parks and pleasure grounds were successfully remodeled in Phyongsong City of South Phyongan Province, Sariwon City of North Hwanghae Province, Hyesan City of Ryanggang Province, Tanchon of South Hamgyong Province, Unryul County of South Hwanghae Province and other cities and counties.

Sinphyong Kumgang Scenic Beauty Resort in North Hwanghae Province was completed and scenic spots in Mt. Kuwol and Mt. Chilbo and Ryongmun Great Cavern were refurnished with better service facilities.

Wading pools were built or remodeled in many cities and counties including Hamhung, Phyongsong and Kaesong cities and Ryongrim and Yonsan counties.
