On display in the venue of the event were photos of President Kim Il Sung meeting overseas Koreans and photos of leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un inspecting units of the Korean People's Army.

There were also photos showing the true picture of the developing homeland.

Ju Yong Il, chairman of "Elders" Society for Korean Cultural Tradition in Uzbekistan, made a speech.

He said that after the founding of the DPRK the Korean people became the master of an independent sovereign state and came to hew out their destiny independently and creatively.

Thanks to the wise leadership of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the DPRK turned into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-sufficient in economy and self-reliant in defence and socialist fortress which no enemy dares provoke.

The celebrations of the diamond jubilee of the war victory which demonstrated before the whole world the might of the DPRK and the ski resort on Masik Pass and many other sports and cultural facilities for the people now under construction eloquently prove the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The speaker called upon all other compatriots to more dynamically turn out in the drive for national reunification and prosperity, holding aloft the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

A performance was given by Korean artistes there.
