Brazilian Ambassador Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- Roberto Colin, Brazilian ambassador to the DPRK, gave a reception at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Friday on the occasion of the 191st anniversary of its independence.

Present there on invitation were Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun, Vice Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Pak Kun Gwang, Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade O Ryong Chol, Vice-Chairman of the Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries So Ho Won who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-Brazil Friendship and Culture Association, officials concerned, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations here.

Staff members of the Brazilian embassy were present at the reception.

Roberto Colin warmly congratulated the Korean people on the 65th founding anniversary of the DPRK, noting that it is the stand of Brazil to boost the cooperative relations with it.

Extending support to the recent efforts of the DPRK government to peacefully settle regional issues, he expressed the will to contribute to achieving peace on the Korean Peninsula.

He hoped that the Korean people would achieve bigger successes under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Pak Ui Chun said in his speech that the DPRK is pleased that the Brazilian government and people are achieving the economic stability and development of the country.

He noted that the peoples of the two countries formed friendly ties and have supported and cooperated with each other in line with the common aspiration and desire for independence, peace, development and prosperity.

The DPRK government will as ever set store by friendship with Brazil and boost the bilateral relations in various fields, he added.
