Present there on invitation were Shen Yueyue, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress; Liu Zhenmin, Chinese vice-foreign minister; Ding Wei, vice-minister of Culture; Yang Yanyi, assistant to the head of the International Liaison Department of the C.C., Communist Party of China; Wu Donghe, chairman of the China-Korea Friendship Association; Wang Yongsheng, vice-president of the China National Defense University; Zhou Xisheng, vice-director general of the Xinhua News Agency; and other officials concerned.

Present there were DPRK Ambassador Ji Jae Ryong and staff members of his embassy in Beijing.

Ji Jae Ryong in his speech praised President Kim Il Sung and general secretary Kim Jong Il for founding the DPRK, building best socialism centered on the popular masses in it and reliably defending and further developing it.

He said it is the unshakable faith and fixed will of supreme leader Kim Jong Un to accomplish the cause of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

He affirmed that the DPRK will make positive efforts to steadily boost the traditional DPRK-China friendship which was nurtured and glorified by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il together with the leaders of China.

Shen Yueyue noted the founding of the DPRK 65 years ago made it possible for the Korean people to become masters of the country and create a new history of development and progress.

He continued:

The Korean people have achieved shining successes in carrying out the cause of socialism, weathering all sorts of tests, under the leadership of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, Kim Jong Un and the Workers' Party of Korea.

It is the invariable line of China to steadily boost the traditional Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations.

The Chinese side will make sustained joint efforts with the DPRK side and develop friendly exchange and practical cooperation with the DPRK in the spirit of inheriting tradition, facing up to the future, good neighborly relations and strengthening cooperation.
