Those who won the first place in the individual body-weight category events were Kim Hyang Bong (North Phyongan Province) in 50 kg, Jang In Myong (Pyongyang) in 55 kg, Ri Song Guk (North Hwanghae Province) in 60 kg, Kim Kyong Il (North Phyongan Province) in 70 kg and Kye Chang Bom (North Phyongan Province) in 80 kg category.

In the group events Pyongyang team took the first, South Hwanghae Province team the second and North Phyongan Province team the third.

The catch-weight category events in which 8 players competed with each other to become the owner of the bull prize were a heated see-saw battle.

Son Kwang Chol from South Hwanghae Province defeated all his rivals and took the laurel in the events.

Kim Kum Chol from Kangwon Province and Yu Song Su from North Hamgyong Province respectively took the second and third places.

At an awarding and closing ceremony Son Kwang Chol received a 1000 kg bull, a golden cowbell and diploma.
