Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a commentary terms this another unpardonable confrontation farce against the trend of times towards democracy of the south Korean society and dialogue and the improved relations between the north and the south.

The commentary notes:

The south Korean conservative forces are getting frantic with the suppression of those concerned of the Unified Progressive Party because this party has taken the lead in opposing the revival of "yusin" dictatorship and demanding the disorganization of the IS.

Their actions were prompted by their own intentions, not by someone's instructions or pressure. They are in line with the call of people of various social circles in south Korea for a thorough-going investigation into the "case of IS's interference in the election".

The south Korean authorities' attempt to link the case with the north is a blatant challenge to the desire of the public for achieving reunification through alliance with the north and an unpardonable mockery of the sincere efforts of the north, their dialogue partner.

They are paying lip-service to "dialogue" and intensifying the suppression of people, raising a hue and cry over "the case of plotted rebellion" and "the forces linked with the north to bring down the social system in the south." This can not but be construed otherwise than a deliberate and premeditated act of those forces opposed to detente and the improved inter-Korean relations.

The south Korean regime should bear in mind that plots, intrigues and fascist violence can never work in this bright world.
