Wreaths Laid before Martyrs and Fallen Fighters' Cemeteries
Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on Sunday on the occasion of the 65th birthday of the DPRK.

Seen standing at the wreath-laying stands of the cemeteries were wreaths sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Attending the wreath-laying ceremonies were Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior party, state and army officials, vice-premiers of the Cabinet, a chairperson of the friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces (KPISF) and Pyongyangites.

Laid before the wreath-laying stand of the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong were wreaths in the name of the C.C., the WPK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) of the DPRK and the DPRK Cabinet.

Also placed before the wreath-laying stand of the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery was a wreath in the joint name of the C.C., the WPK, the Presidium of the DPRK SPA and the DPRK Cabinet.

Laid before the wreath-laying stand "Soul of Heroes" of the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery was a wreath in the joint name of the C.C., the WPK, the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the DPRK National Defence Commission.

Placed before the cemeteries were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA and the KPISF, scientific, educational, public health and media institutions and party and power organs, factories and farms, etc. in Pyongyang.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs.

They looked round the cemeteries.
