Greetings to Kim Jong Un from Chinese Party and State Leaders

Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, and Pak Pong Ju, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, received a message of greeting from Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and president of the People's Republic of China (PRC), Li Keqiang, premier of the State Council of the PRC, and Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the PRC, on Sunday. The message said: We extend warm congratulations to you and, through you, to the Workers' Party of Korea, the government and people of the DPRK on behalf of the CPC, the Chinese government and people on the occasion of the 65th founding anniversary of the DPRK. Thanks to the founding of the DPRK 65 years ago from now the Korean people embarked upon the genuine road of building a socialist state and opened a new page in the Korean history. The Korean people have achieved important successes in the cause of socialist construction under the leadership of the WPK. We sincerely wish the Korean people new and greater success in the economic and social development of the country in the future. The Sino-Korean friendship personally provided and cultivated by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries is a precious treasure common to the two countries and peoples. We will bring well-being to the peoples of the two countries and positively contribute to regional peace, stability and development by joining the Korean side in steadily consolidating and boosting the traditional friendly and cooperative relations in the spirit of inheriting the tradition, facing up to the future, boosting good neighborly relations and strengthening cooperation.
