Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), and other officials of Chongryon.

Vice-Chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee Nam Sung U read out a congratulatory message sent by Marshal Kim Jong Un to all the Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan on the occasion.

Ho Jong Man said in his report that he was very much honored and felt happy to receive the congratulatory message of Kim Jong Un reflecting the minds of great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

He went on:

The long period since the date of the Republic's foundation marked the history of gigantic struggle and changes through which the great Generalissimos set a world-wide model for building a socialist state by devoting all their wisdom and efforts, and also a proud history in which they successfully realized a long-cherished ideal and desire of the popular masses.

Kim Jong Un is the benevolent father of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan leading the cause of Juche and the movement of Koreans in Japan straight to a victory.

We will hold the great Generalissimos in high esteem as the eternal sun with determination to repay Kim Jong Un's great trust and loving care and develop Chongryon which was hewed out and demonstrated its victory under the care of the great men of Mt. Paektu into a model organization of the overseas compatriots movement in the world.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un from the Chongryon Central Standing Committee was read out at the meeting.

On the same day, a photo exhibition of Chongryon and evening gala celebrating the anniversary were held at the Korean Hall of Culture and outside the hall.
