The appeal noted that due to the IS's moves to fabricate the case of plotted rebellion the ghost of "Yusin" dictatorship is being revived and the conservative forces are hell-bent on obliterating the progressive ones.

It termed the case of plotted rebellion a typical charade aimed to cope with the candlelight actions and a stereotyped politically-motivated scenario fabricated by the dictatorial forces to turn society into the one dominated by IS.

If the efforts to foil the plot end in failure, the suppression of the Unified Progressive Party will lead to the wholesale repression of the candlelight actions and the second "Yusin" era plagued by illegality and injustice, the appeal warned.

It stressed the need to pool the strength of all the people and intensify the candlelight actions in order to resolutely smash the IS's plot and disorganize it.

It called on all the progressive forces and people from all walks of life to firmly unite to usher in the era of people's sovereignty and peaceful reunification by foiling the IS's plot, disorganizing the IS and checking the revival of the "Yusin" dictatorship and terror-ridden policy.
