At the conference they charged that the IS's moves are a revelation of the authorities' attempt to calm down the people angered by the IS's interference in the election, split the democratic forces, revive the "Yusin" dictatorial rule and thus escape from the ruling crisis.

They declared that the progressive and democratic forces will pool their strength and stage actions until they find out the truth behind the IS's interference in the election and its masterminds and frustrate the moves to fabricate the case of plotted rebellion.

They called on all the democratic forces to unite and stage actions to achieve the common goal for dismantling the IS and defending the democracy.

A letter of protest to the present chief executive was read out at the conference.

The letter urged the present chief executive to approve the special investigation for probing the truth behind the IS's interference in the election and punishing those involved and discontinue the suppression of a lawmaker from the opposition party.
