Celebrations of 65th Anniversary of DPRK Given Publicity Abroad

Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- Media of various countries gave wide publicity to the grand celebrations of the 65th anniversary held in the DPRK in the presence of supreme leader Kim Jong Un on September 9 and 10. Xinhua News said: A parade of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and a mass demonstration of Pyongyangites were held at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang to mark the DPRK's 65th anniversary. Supreme leader Kim Jong Un appeared at the tribune of honor. Columns of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and the Young Red Guards marched past the tribune of honor. The parade was followed by the mass demonstration of Pyongyangites who marched past the tribune of honor with floats in their centre, shouting "Hurrah!" and waving flowers. At the end of the demonstration Kim Jong Un stepped to the balcony of the tribune of honor and warmly acknowledged the cheers of crowds. Various other media carried similar news. They included the Chinese People's Daily, Phoenix Satellite TV of Hong Kong, ITAR-TASS, Voice of Russia, NTV, Zvezda TV and various internet news services of Russia, AP, VOA, AFP, various French newspapers, the internet news of Slovakia AKTUALNE. The Chinese newspaper Global Times carried the news that Kim Jong Un enjoyed an art performance given by the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces to mark the 65th birthday of the DPRK. The Pheonix Satellite TV of Hong Kong, China and internet websites of China introduced similar news. Photos of Kim Jong Un were posted on internet websites of China. |
