Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Yong Il, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials concerned.

The ambassador spoke at the reception that the Cuban people are praising the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung and general secretary Kim Jong Il, the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu.

He noted that the Cuban party, government and people have extended firm support and solidarity to the party, government and people of the DPRK.

He referred to the fact that the friendly relations between the two countries have grown strong thanks to the deep care of Raul Castro Ruz and supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

Yang Hyong Sop said that Cuban people's significant celebration of the anniversary of the DPRK every year as a common holiday is strong support to the DPRK.

He noted that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries have invariably grown stronger under the deep care of the top leaders.

He hoped that the fraternal Cuban people would register great successes in the struggle to defend socialism and implement the decisions of the sixth congress of the party, smashing the vicious blockade of the hostile forces.
