The message extended congratulations to Kim Jong Un and, through him, to all Korean people on behalf of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia and all Russian people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the DPRK.

It said that the appearance of a socialist state on the Korean Peninsula was inseparably linked with the Korean people's struggle against Japan's occupation waged under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

It pointed out that the founding of the DPRK marked a historic event which paved the road of independent development for the country, adding that the DPRK today is a very powerful state confidently advancing.

The message noted with particular pleasure that over the past 65 years, the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries have been maintained as fraternal ones and cooperation between them has been conducted on the principle of mutual respect and the non-interference in other's internal affairs.

He wished Kim Jong Un success in his work to carry forward the cause pioneered by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great leaders, and the DPRK greater progress in the economic and cultural fields and peace on the Korean Peninsula.
