DPRK's Birthday Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- Celebrations took place in Vietnam, Mexico, Brazil and Bangladesh in the period from Sept. 3 to 6 on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the DPRK.

On display in the venues of the events were photos documenting the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il in nation-building and Songun revolution and photos dealing with the revolutionary activities of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Displayed there were works of the great men and books and photos introducing the successes made by the Korean people in building a thriving socialist nation.

Present there were figures of various circles and masses in relevant countries.

Pham Tat Dong, chairman of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, said that the founding of the DPRK was a brilliant fruition of the arduous and heroic struggle waged by the Korean people under the leadership of Kim Il Sung and an event of great significance that ushered in the new phase in the history of the Korean nation.

Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, noted that Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il turned the DPRK into a socialist power that has thoroughly applied independence in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliance in national defense.

Speakers including Nelson Chaves dos Santos, secretary of the International Relations of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil, and Ricardo Alemao Abreu, international secretary of the Central Committee of the Brazilian Communist Party, praised exploits performed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in nation-building and Songun leadership and the invincibility of socialism in the DPRK.

Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, and others said that the Korean people would certainly build a thriving socialist nation, smashing all moves of the imperialists, adding the DPRK is displaying its dignity and might as a political, ideological and military power.
