Disbandment of IS Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- The Gathering of Elders of the Action for Civilians' Sovereignty of south Korea released a statement "Disband at once Intelligence Service, engineer of plotting rebellion" on Wednesday.

The statement recalled that the Intelligence Service (IS) on August 28 forcibly searched the houses and offices of a lawmaker from the opposition Unified Progressive Party and others concerned and arrested three of them, charging them with plotting rebellion.

The evidence of the rebellion presented by the IS is totally groundless, the statement said, adding:

Those who were charged with alleged spying and plotted rebellion in the past, cases made up by the dictatorial power, are being proved not guilty one by one.

The IS's intention is to turn in its favor the unfavorable situation in which it is tight-cornered in face of public anger for its illegal interference in the election.

The IS's sinister intention is to chill the atmosphere of south-north dialogue, plunge the inter-Korean ties into deadlock and prolong the days of the conservative ruling quarters.

Now people of all social standings have launched vigorous actions including the release of declarations and sit-in strikes in demand of the withdrawal of the evil law, stop to plots and settlement of the IS case.

All the political parties, social organizations and people should wage unflinching actions against the IS and the conservative ruling forces.
