S. Korean DM's Anti-DPRK Remarks under Fire
Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Kwan Jin, defence minister of south Korea, at a recent "meeting of army commanding officers" made a far-fetched assertion that "the north made a provocation during days of the south-north dialogue in the past".

He called for tightening the military discipline in the run-up to Chusok (Harvest Moon Day) and maintaining a high-alert posture as usual.

A commentary on Minju Joson Sunday terms his remarks coarse invectives deliberately irritating and insulting the DPRK.

Kim Kwan Jin seems enjoying himself in deteriorating the north-south relations, the commentary says, and goes on:

At the 2nd ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting-Plus some days ago he screamed out hoarse "nuclear and missile threats from the north".

In the light of his remarks no one can vouch that he will not make up a shocking incident. If so, it is likely that it will chill the atmosphere of north-south dialogue and detente that was provided on the north's positive initiative and by its sincere efforts and plunge the inter-Korean ties into collapse as were done under the Lee Myung Bak regime.

The warmongers like Kim Kwan Jin should be kept from behaving arbitrarily. Only then will it be possible to deter in time grave situation, improve the inter-Korean ties and achieve independent reunification and peace and prosperity of the country.

They are seriously miscalculated if they think they can find a way-out in hampering the improvement of the north-south relations and in escalating the tension.
