Rodong Sinmun Terms U.S. Culprit of Cyber Attack
Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is the chief culprit of cyber attack, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this in a commentary.

It goes on:

Some time ago, a foreign news service disclosed that intelligence organs of the U.S. mounted cyber attacks on different countries. The report grounded on new materials made public by Snowden, former CIA contractor, made a big splash in the world media.

The U.S. conducted 231 cyber attacks on other countries in 2011 alone.

Washington seeks to realize its ambition for supremacy by using another aggression means, cyber attack. Its insanity has now reached the zenith.

According to official data available, the U.S. intelligence service has spent 652 million dollars to spread vicious codes to news and computer networks of different countries, and hacked into their computer networks. The number of the vicious codes transferred to other countries by the U.S. is estimated to stand at 85 000 at the end of this year.

The U.S. is mulling development of a code capable of clipping specified paragraph from telephone conversations under its watch within this year.

In recent years the U.S. established a cyber command and consented to developing cyber attack weapon and allocated funds for it. Now it is ready to use cyber attack weapon in the actual war.

It is the core of the U.S. foreign military policy to grasp the Asia-Pacific region by force.

What should not be overlooked is that the U.S. listed the DPRK as target of cyber attack and launched high-level attack on it. The U.S. commits criminal acts overtly and covertly to isolate and stifle the DPRK.

It is a foolish daydream, however, for the U.S. to try to bring down the DPRK with cyber attack.
