Its participants heard more than 50 papers introducing successes made in creating and tending lawn, killing insects harmful to turf and selecting seeds of plants.

They exchanged achievements and experience gained in the work for cultivating turf of new species.

Highly appreciated by them were the paper on the method of cultivating and tending turf of new species planted in the park of the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and papers on the method of promoting the growth of turf by use of bio-chemicals and on the turf of new species suitable for the climate and soil conditions of Korea.

Drawing attention of the participants were the research into some features of turf of species that stand cold winter and influence in the period of sowing on creating turf of new species.

The presentation also involved a workshop on the technical issues arising in cultivating and tending turf.
