At the press conference the speakers accused the Choson Ilbo of taking the lead in the political dealings of the present "government" to hinder the investigation into the Intelligence Service's case.

The regime is plotting to hamper the progress in the investigation as the true colors of the case is being brought to light with each passing day and the Choson Ilbo is chiming in with this, building up false public opinion, the speakers held, adding:

The media is describing the candlelight actions waged by broad range of masses as a political scramble between the ruling party and opposition parties, and the standoff between the conservative and progressive organizations, distorting the truth.

This shows that the Choson Ilbo is not following through on its primary mission as the media and this makes it extremely difficult for it to be called media but part of the conservative forces.

The Chongwadae, IS and the Choson Ilbo are coordinating their efforts to cover up the IS's case.

The speakers declared that they would stand up against the conservative media through the campaign of boycotting the paper in solidarity with the democratic forces of various circles.
