Continued Suppression of Opposition Party Protested in South Korea

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- The south Korean "Measure Committee to Denounce the Intelligence Service's Fabrication of Plotted Rebellion and Suppression under the Pretext of Security" made up of civic and social organizations and the opposition Unified Progressive Party (UPP) held a meeting in Seoul on Tuesday in protest against the IS suppression.

Speakers at the meeting accused the IS of conducting again a seizure and search operation against those concerned of the UPP under the pretext of the investigation into the plotted rebellion case.

This is a farce orchestrated to calm down the angry people and revive "yusin," regarding the opposition party as a political scapegoat, the speakers said, and went on:

Truth is bound to be probed. The people should remain undeterred by the authorities' suppression.

The people's struggle against the present authorities' horror-ridden policy for the revival of "yusin" is sure to win.
