Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers carried articles to mark the 65th anniversary of the DPRK. The Zambian newspaper Zambia Daily Mail on Sept. 10 said in an article titled "Kim Il Sung, great leader of the 20th century": President Kim Il Sung embarked upon the road of the struggle in his early years to save the destiny of the country and people. Exploring a new way of the Korean revolution he created the Juche idea, the idea of attaching importance to arms and achieved the historic cause of Korea's liberation under its banner. After the liberation he founded in the land of Korea the DPRK, the first people's democratic state in the East. In the Korean war ignited by the U.S. imperialists he defeated the U.S. which boasted of being "the strongest" in the world for the first time in history. After the war he built a socialist power independent in politics, self-sufficient in economy and self-reliant in defence. He was the prominent leader who victoriously led the cause of global independence, holding aloft the banner of independence against imperialism all his life. The September issue of the British paper Line of March said in an article titled "Historic holiday of the Korean people" that the DPRK stands tall as an impregnable fortress that challenges the imperialists' provocations and hostile policy and a state ensuring regional peace thanks to the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. This greatly encourages the world people, it added. The victory is in store for the Korean people as long as there are the revolutionary idea of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the Workers' Party of Korea led by Kim Jong Un, the paper concluded. The newspaper of Democratic Congo L'Avenir on Sept. 10 carried an article titled "DPRK celebrates its 65th anniversary". |
