The General Association of Koreans in China in its statement said that the recent resumption of dialogue and negotiations between the north and the south was the fruition of the unanimous desire and enthusiasm of all Koreans to bring back at any cost the era of "By our nation itself" when the trend of reconciliation, unity and cooperation of the nation grew strong and implement the north-south joint declarations.

Nevertheless, the south Korean authorities seriously hurt the dignity of the DPRK, dialogue partner, and made a mockery of it, advertising the resumption of dialogue and negotiations as a result of their "theory of principle," the statement noted, and continued:

This glaringly reveals their true colors as maniacs escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen.

The authorities are staging an alarming "witch-hunt campaign" in south Korea aimed at suppressing progressive democrats who call for the reconciliation, unity and reunification between the north and the south by labeling them "pro-communists" and "forces following the north".

We are aware of what phase the south Korean authorities have reached in their inveterate hostility towards compatriots and whirlwind of confrontation sweeping south Korea.

It is nothing but hypocrisy and deception to talk about "confidence" with daggers hidden under their belts to hurt fellow countrymen.

The south Korean authorities should stop at once all acts of vitiating the atmosphere of dialogue and negotiations and release the unreasonably detained pro-reunification patriots.

If they persist in their anti-reunification acts to escalate the confrontation, they will not be able to escape the bitter rebuff and denunciation of all angry Koreans.

The Association of Korean Youth in China in its statement held that the smear campaign launched by the south Korean puppet conservative group against the DPRK is a shameless provocation to spoil the hard-won atmosphere of dialogue and negotiations between the north and the south and an unpardonable mockery and insult to the good will and magnanimity of the DPRK and the sincere efforts made by it to implement the north-south joint declarations.
