S. Korean Conservative Media Slammed for Inciting Confrontation with DPRK

Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- The south Korean conservative media are speaking ill of the DPRK by taking the advantage of the north-south ties that have again plunged into a deadlock. Denouncing the media for inflaming the tensions, a commentary of Rodong Sinmun Thursday says: The Yonhap News found fault with every word mentioned by the spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea in a statement clarifying the DPRK's strong stand and just measure. It urged the present south Korean authorities to maintain the principle of original policy toward the north and strongly provide against possible provocations by the north, inciting confrontation with fellow countrymen. The KBS made such coarse invectives that the north took the measure in a calculation to take the initiative in the south-north dialogue. It praised the puppet authorities for their strong will to maintain principled counteraction and talked rubbish about homework to be solved by the north. This clearly indicates the sinister nature of the puppet conservative media that have been bent on disrupting the north-south relations, not pleased with their improvement. At a crossroad of whether the north-south ties improve or collapse the media are abetting fratricidal confrontation. Clear is the catastrophic consequences to be entailed by their moves. Herein lies the danger of the development. The media should know that with no false smear campaign can they evade the responsibility for the prevailing situation nor calm down the nation's mounting desire for reunification. The puppet conservative media of south Korea are rubbish that has to be thrown into the dustbin of history as they stand against national reconciliation and unity and the improvement of the north-south ties. |
