The article recalled that the Ministry of Employment and Labor threatened that it would not recognize the Teachers Union if it does not amend the present rules on recognizing the dismissed as its members.

This is an unreasonable behavior quite contrary to the international standard as it lacks any legal ground, it said, and went on:

The regime is keen to put down the legitimacy of the Teachers Union under the pretext of the issue of the dismissed because it regards the union as a thorn in its flesh.

Whenever an opportunity presented itself, the present chief executive revealed hostility toward the Teachers Union. The regime is fostering contradictions and conflict in all fabrics of society.

The article urged the regime to immediately defuse the threat to the Teachers Union.
