Rodong Sinmun Accuses S. Korean Regime of Cooking Up Conspiratorial Case against DPRK

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- It is a trite method of the south Korean puppet regime to hatch plots against the DPRK and suppress pro-reunification patriotic figures, says Rodong Sinmun Friday in an article. Not content with slandering the efforts made by the DPRK for dialogue, the south Korean authorities cooked up an alarming conspiratorial farce of "attempted rebellion" and deliberately linked the case with the DPRK in a bid to intensify the fascist clampdown upon the pro-reunification patriotic figures through a terror-ridden campaign for "eliminating the forces following the north", the article notes, and goes on: This is a deliberate action to torpedo dialogue. Recently, multi-faceted dialogue and cooperation undertakings including the working-level talks for the normalization of the operation in the Kaesong Industrial Zone took place between the north and the south. People from various circles in south Korea have become increasingly vocal calling for more brisk dialogue and cooperation to improve the inter-Korean relations, giving momentum to their desire for achieving reunification through alliance with the north. It was against this backdrop that the puppet Intelligence Service cooked up an alarming "attempted rebellion case" all of a sudden, kicking up a whirlwind of crackdown upon the progressive democratic forces. Moreover, the puppet forces are kicking up a frantic conspiratorial racket against the DPRK, groundlessly talking about "disguised programme of the north's Workers' Party" and the like with the spearhead of their investigation directed to clarifying any linkage with the DPRK. This proves that the orchestrated case is nothing but a confrontation charade targeting north-south dialogue. It is a habitual practice of the successive south Korean fascist dictators to cook up a case and stage a confrontation racket by linking it with the DPRK whenever they find themselves in a crisis. It is widely known to the world that the puppet forces linked every "attempted rebellion case" fabricated in south Korea in the past with the DPRK. Typical examples were "the case of the People's Revolutionary Party (PRP)", "the case of the National Democratic Youth and Student League" and "the case of the Committee for Rebuilding the PRP" dating back to the period of "yusin" dictatorship. The south Korean puppet group can never use those plots and fascist suppression as levers for covering up its moves for escalating the confrontation. With no excuses can it justify them. |
