Halt to Moves to Introduce U.S.-made Weapons Demanded in S. Korea

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- The Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society, the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and other civic and public organizations of south Korea held the 138th rally for peace and disarmament on Sept. 24 demanding a halt to the moves of the puppet authorities to introduce U.S.-made weapons.

The organizations accused the military authorities of working hard to introduce U.S.-made fighters, adding that this is aimed to carry out the strategy for mounting a preemptive attack on the north in contingency.

They termed such moves a dangerous act of sparking off a total war on the Korean Peninsula.

U.S.-made fighters which had been introduced in the past including F-15Ks are still posing a lot of problems, they charged, demanding an immediate halt to such moves as they mean wasting a stupendous amount of money collected from the people as taxes.
