Chinese Ambassador Hosts Reception

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Liu Hongcai hosted a reception at Yanggakdo International Hotel Friday on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Invited there were Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun, Vice Department Director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Song Nam, Vice-Chairman of the Education Commission Jon Kuk Man, Vice-Chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Kim Jin Bom who is vice-chairman of the C.C., the DPRK-China Friendship Association, Vice-Chairman of the Joint Venture and Investment Commission Jong Jin Song and officials concerned and foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international bodies here. Present there were a delegation of the China-Korea Friendship Association led by Chairman Wu Donghe, officials of the Chinese embassy, Chinese students and Chinese guests staying here. Liu made a speech at the reception. He referred to the fact that the Korean people are achieving great successes in different fields under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by First Secretary Kim Jong Un. The China-DPRK relations of friendship and cooperation forged by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries are boosting as the days go by, he said. He expressed the will to make contributions to carry forward and put the Sino-Korean friendship on a new phase in the spirit of inheritance of tradition, forward looking, good-neighborly relations and boosting of cooperation as required by the new historical time. Pak Ui Chun in his speech referred to the fact that the Chinese people have become masters of the state and society. They achieved development in different fields, he added. He wished the Chinese people fresh and greater successes in their efforts to realize the "dream of China" under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with Xi Jinping as its general secretary. He stressed that the DPRK would make positive efforts to boost the traditional DPRK-China friendship, true to the behests of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the intentions of the top leaders of the two countries. |
