Yun I Sang Concert Held in DPRK
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- The 32nd Yun I Sang Concert took place at the Yun I Sang Concert Hall here on September 24-26.

Put at the concert were 10 musical works composed by Yun I Sang, a noted Korean musician, and Korean musical pieces and foreign classical works.

Yun's works are consistent with love for the homeland and the nation and desire for Korea's reunification, and their performance won a great applause from the audience at the concert.

"Together for Violin and Contrabass", a work which made its debut at the concert, stresses that the north and south of Korea should pool their efforts for national unity.

"Angel in Flame", a symphonic poem created in Juche 83 (1994), represents support for the students and other patriotic young people of south Korea who rose up in resistance for democracy against fascism, as well as the patriotic desire to join the uprisers.

The impressive numbers of the concert also included "Etude for Flute Solo", "Sonatina for Twin Violins", orchestra "Muak" and "Tapis for Chordophone".

In his lifetime Yun I Sang composed 150 musical works, mostly associated with patriotism.
