S. Korean Unification Minister's Anti-DPRK Remarks Assailed

Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- Traitor Ryu Kil Jae, puppet minister of Unification of south Korea, when interviewed by Chosun Ilbo shortly ago, said the reunions of separated families and their relatives can never be subject to any dealing or be a bargaining chip. He added it is most unpleasant to hear the north saying the progress in the north-south relations was a result of its good faith and magnanimity. He went the lengths of slandering the strategic line set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea and making such invectives that it is a way out for the north to make a switchover to the line of "no nukes and economic growth". A commentary of Rodong Sinmun Saturday terms his remarks senseless rubbish aimed to distort the truth of the situation and evade his responsibility. What Ryu uttered only reveals his anti-reunification nature as he did nothing for the progress of the north-south ties but put a brake on the way of reunification. He, being devoid of elementary etiquette and with neither the will to improve the north-south ties nor ability to do so, acts surly and only speaks ill of the dialogue partner. What is worst is that he dared find fault with the most just strategic line set forth by the WPK. His remarks are an open denial of the dignity and social system of the DPRK and a revelation of his sinister intention to realize his ambition of "unification of social systems" by leading the north to "change". The traitor's arrogant and confrontational remarks point to the south Korean puppet authorities' scheme to deteriorate the north-south ties, not to solve the present crisis. With no sleight of hand can the puppet regime distort the truth and evade its responsibility for plunging the north-south ties into a deadlock. |
