Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- The south Korean supreme court sentenced Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon), to four years in jail on Thursday, according to south Korean Yonhap News. The south Korean puppet group committed such barbarism as hurling hooligans into forcibly taking him to prison as soon as he crossed the demarcation line in Panmunjom in July last year, incriminating his courageous visit to Pyongyang to pay condolences over the greatest loss of the nation on behalf of compatriots in the south. The puppet group has inflicted all sorts of physical and mental pain upon him behind bars for nearly a year and 3 months since then. It sentenced him to a jail term at a series of trials on charges of violation of the "Security Law." At a hearing of final appeal held that day the supreme court upheld the sentence of 4 years in prison which had been imposed upon him at the first and second trials. At the same time, it sentenced the secretary general of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon to 3 years in jail and 4 years of stay of execution on the groundless charge that he helped Ro in his visit to Pyongyang. Such fascist actions taken by the puppet group against the pro-reunification patriots despite the strong protest and denunciation of all compatriots are a revelation of its bitter enmity toward the DPRK and a blatant challenge to the nation aspiring after reunification. |
